Nimble Social CRM Smart Contact Segmentation [Video]

We are pleased to announce today that Nimble Social CRM has released an awesome new capability for its CRM offering. Smart Segmentation brings an entirely new level of search that will allow you to effectively leverage Nimble’s advanced social integrations. More on this later.

In a traditional search routine, you are typically limited to user-editable fields like name, city, tag, etc. Well, not anymore! In a Nimble contact record, many of the fields are actually created and populated by Nimble automagically. This is particularly true for fields that are associated with information that is gleaned from a contact’s social profiles.

For example, Nimble pulls social information from several platforms in order to create our Smart Summary which includes areas of interest and influence, social bios, and even their Klout score. Now, if you are going to be engaging with people based on any these criteria, you first need to be able to find for them.

Let’s put this into perspective. I am constantly barraged by marketing emails that indicate areas of interest that I am supposed to have (I don’t) and then, based on these interests, I am offered services that I have absolutely no need for. In selling, being able to personalize your message and have that message be delivered to the right people, is critical! Marketers may be able to throw crap against the wall and see what sticks (they shouldn’t be) but, sales cannot.

Maybe I would like to find people in Idaho who have the word “sales” in their bio and who are influential about sales, have a Klout score above 50, and who are already connected to me on Twitter. Now I can!

With list in hand, I am now able to …

  • Pick up the phone and start dialing
  • Export my list to a spreadsheet or even to a mailing program like MailChimp
  • Or, take advantage of Nimble’s group messaging function with personalized merge fields. Nice!

Regardless, when you compose your message, you can be sure that it is specifically designed for the people that it will be sent to. Good for you and good for them! Beats juggling!
