We have extensive experience in the electric sign industry and we are pleased to offer the following sign-specific services!
Nimble CRM for Sign Companies
Nimble CRM for signage companies is an easy to use and intuitive CRM. We like to call it the CRM that was built for salespeople who hate CRM. It is also highly customizable and we have built a template specifically for the electric signage industry.
Sign companies evaluating CRM software often ask what system works best for their industry. I created a detailed guide explaining how a CRM for sign companies can help organize contacts, track quotes, and improve follow-up using Nimble CRM.

Sales Training
I have almost 50 years of B2B sales experience and that includes over 15 years in the electric sign business as an owner, division sales manager, and as an independent sales contractor. Ask me about our recent 90+ page eBook, “Selling Signs – Lessons From the Trenches”. From the introduction …
“The selling tips that I will be sharing with you are based on my real-life experience in the trenches. I like getting dirty. I developed them through the years and now, with the advent of social media and the changes in buyer behaviors, they become even more powerful. In addition to sign-specific selling, we will explore social selling, networking, and effective communication skills based on observable behaviors.
Now, there are about 1,000,000 books that have been written on the topic of selling. If you don’t believe me, go to Amazon. I have most on my bookshelf. This isn’t one of them. I want to provide you with something different. Sure, we’re going to talk about selling but not necessarily in the manner that you might expect.
This document intended to be a complete course on various aspects of sign fabrication. The easiest way to learn about different types of signage will be found in your own organizations. That and go out and sell them! This is how I learned!
I’m also not going to go over every possible sales scenario known to man or go in depth about how to handle every possible objection. The formula to do so does not change. The same holds true for closing. You will hear me say this again … the close is the natural culmination of a sales call done properly!
Having spent so many years in sales, I can spot any sales technique from a mile away. I also know what works, and does not work, on me. As such, my approach to selling is quite different. I sell by not selling. Instead, I choose to educate my buyers and to separate myself from other salespeople. That’s not to say that I am not always selling (I am). I just don’t do so overtly.
My career in the electric signage industry spanned over 15 years. Most of that time was spent as a manager or as an owner. However, I was almost always a selling manager and I spent my last 3 years as an independent sales contractor. While my experience was in electric signs, these same principles can be applied to fast or commercial signage as well.
During my tenure, I personally serviced our account with The Home Depot and oversaw our agreements with Chevron USA. These were manufacturing and installation contracts spanning several states. There were also large regional companies as well as major developers.
I am not going to suggest that you do anything that I have not done myself. However, I may ask you to step outside your comfort zone, as I myself do regularly. You may also want to put your own spin on my suggestions and that is good as long as you are trying! Selling signs, at least to me, represented the most fun that I have ever had in my almost 45 years of B2B selling!
Let’s say, for sake of argument, that you are a seasoned professional writing in excess of $1,000,000 worth of business each year. What would an increase of only 10% in sales mean to you? My guess is that you could quickly figure out what to do with an extra $10,000 (my guesstimate) jingling in your pocket! If it ain’t broke, while you might not need or want to fix it, you can still improve on i
Finally, I am pleased to announce that sign-specific sales training has now been incorporated into my Nimble CRM Training & Implementation package!
