If you want to get the most out of Nimble CRM, you really need to dig below the surface. This is where 15+ (there’s even more) hidden gems are to be found …
General
Configure your Today Page – Your Today page is composed of widgets that you can add or hide and even reorder. Note that many have drop-downs if you wish to filter your results. If you wish a drop- down to be the default for a specific widget, set that in Today Page edit mode and then save. You can also change the image at the top of the page. Your company logo can only be set by your administrator.
Hover – Wherever you see a “face” on the Today Page”, roll over it and see a snapshot of that contact’s record.
Blue = links but not all links are in blue – Particularly in reports, be sure to roll your mouse around and over numbers. You will see a shift in the font. That’s a link! Hit it!
Multiple places to do the same thing such as create contacts – For example, you can create a contact while looking at a contact, from the contact listing page, from your inbox on Google or Outlook, from your inbox on Nimble, or when using Prospector or the mobile app!
Open things like tasks and emails to reveal more options – For example, you can create a task for follow-up from an email and even assign that to another team member.
Tagging – Tags are awesome for organizing data. Nimble has 3 separate tagging systems … contacts, activities, and deals.
Contact Records
Contact record blocks – The left side of your contact records is composed of blocks of information. These blocks can be reordered and even hidden. You can also create custom blocks and populate those with any data you wish including custom fields that you have created!
Contact Listings
Bulk update records – From a contact list, you can select specific contacts, or even all, and the bulk update things like tags, stay in touch reminders, contact ownership, or even data fields. You can also edit most fields while in the list vs. at the contact record.
Re-order contact lists, sort, and filter – You can choose which columns of data to show in a list, which order they will appear in (left to right), and there are also options at the top of the lists to filter those. Many columns can also be sorted, for example names alphabetically.
Workflows & Pipelines
Add fields to workflow and pipeline cards – Cards in workflows and pipelines can be configured to show specific data. Note that contacts appear in workflows so you can choose from contact record data fields (including custom fields). Custom fields for deal records are created when you create, or edit, individual pipelines.
Sidebars in pipeline and workflows – If you click on a card in a workflow or a pipeline, a vertical formatted contact or deal record will load on the right sidebar. This is similar to Prospector. You can also edit any data or choose to go to the full record.
Sales Reports
Create Dashboards – You can have more than one! Sales dashboards are created and managed exactly the same as your Today Page dashboard. In fact, the widgets available for your sales reports can also be added to your Today Page.
Click on charts – Many sales reports have charts including bar charts. Click on a bar and the right sidebar will appear with a list of deals that are associated with that bar!
Prospector & Mobile
Take Nimble wherever you go! Android and iOS mobile apps are great for outside of the office. Prospector works with Gmail, Outlook, and MS Teams. You can even use Prospector with your Outlook mobile app! Finally, Prospector allows you to take your database anywhere on the web including social networks! View, edit, or create new records from any web page!
Hopefully, this will get you started! Take it slow and explore. Most screens have multiple options and filters. Watch for drop-downs and for “…” (the three little dots).
