A couple of quick updates … You now have the ability to create multiple sending addresses in email marketing accounts and these addresses are accessible by all team members. Nice! Read about it here!
I am sad to report that AI Prospector is back at square one. From what I understand, LinkedIn has recently clamped down on 3rd. party applications gathering information from member profiles. This is actually nothing new, but now they seem to be very serious about it. I do, however, still expect a new and improved Prospector, but I just don’t know when.

Dedicated Email Lists
In our last issue, we discussed email marketing message allowances. Today, let’s look at dedicated email lists which are a part of the premium email marketing add-on. First …. You do not need email marketing or email lists to send either group messages or sequence messages. You might need email marketing to do this at scale.
I have always used tags to create email lists. Some of my clients have used search segments. These still work perfectly fine. I use a tag when I send you these newsletters as a group message.
Dedicated email lists provide the following benefits …
- They can be integrated with web forms such as a newsletter sign up form. Sign up, get added to the mailing list (you can create as many of these as you like).
- If, IF, you enable double opt-in on a list, whenever someone accepts your offer to receive your messages OR if you manually add someone to a list, they will be sent a template email asking them to confirm.
- Until someone confirms, they will not be added to the list.
- Now, if someone confirms … two things are happening here. They are verifying their interest in receiving your messages and they have verified that their email address is accurate. No bounces.
- You can also choose to have Nimble verify deliverability of selected email addresses on your list. In order to do this, you are using enrichment credits.
- Your standard subscription includes 100 credits per user per month. Each email address that you ask to verify costs 2 credits. Unused credits do not carry forward to the next month. You can purchase additional credits.
There is one odd aspect of these email lists. When you look at a list you will see either bounced or deliverable. I looked at a client list at the ones marked “bounced”. When I looked at their contact records, they had the “Unsubscribed” bullet notification. In fact, they had bounced. They had not unsubscribed.
I have brought this up with Nimble, it’s quite confusing, and I am hoping that they will take action to make this clearer. However, what is important is that, if they have bounced or unsubscribed, they should not be receiving further messages. In group messages, those email addresses will be filtered out prior to being sent. In sequences, you will see a warning of the same which you will then choose to bypass those.
I’m about to eat my own dogfood …
Some of you are familiar that I spent a fair amount of my professional career in the custom electric signage industry. I have already configured Nimble for one local company where I was once a partner. Being semi-retired, it’s been awhile since I have actively prospected. I miss it:)
