Not yet released, but a couple of weeks ago I was asked to test A.I. generated sequences! These will be pretty cool beans. I provided the system with a prompt telling it what services I was offering, who I was targeting, and the number of messages in the sequence and … voila!
The messages and the basic sequence were created for me … automagically! From there I just edited the details for triggers and results. I suspect that there will likely be additional enhancements to the preview that I tested. No release date yet, but I’m thinking sooner rather than later.
Let’s talk about workflows …

Workflows are one of my favorite Nimble features. Workflows represent a process, the stages that you go through from start to finish and that process can represent anything. If, for example, you currently depict a process on a spreadsheet, that’s a workflow. Things to keep in mind …
- Contact records are added to a workflow and a contact (person or company) can be in more than one workflow at any given time.
- There are multiple ways to add contacts to workflows: from a contact record, when at the workflow itself, in bulk from a contact list, during an import, as a part of a sequence as an action, and from the response to a web form.
Workflows also include automations. You set the trigger such as when I move this contact to a specific stage and then you set the action. Popular actions include: creating a task, sending a template email, adding a tag, or even adding this contact to a sequence. Your standard Nimble account includes 25 active automations at any given time.
A great workflow application would be for lead qualification. Used properly, this ensures that any lead is a valid opportunity prior to being moved to a pipeline. Furthermore, from within the workflow, you can simultaneously remove this contact from the workflow, create a deal record associated with this contact, and add that deal to a pipeline. #Awesome!
Here is how a workflow might work. A prospective client fills out your website contact form. A contact record is simultaneously created and that contact is automatically added to your qualification workflow. They are then sent a confirmation email directing them to a page detailing your services. A workflow automation creates a task for your to follow-up with them. Nice!
My Sequence Test

I’m a salesperson, not a marketer. While I am only in the middle of my first sequence, from what I have been told, my open rates and click through rates have both been excellent. While I don’t have any takers yet, I have only had one bounce and one unsubscribe. Here is what I have been able to deduce thus far …
- I started with a clean email list
- My subject line apparently has driven opens
- The content has generated interest
- This campaign, while a cold outreach, is highly targeted
About the targeted part. While I did my best to generate a good email list, my efforts fell woefully short. There were a lot of folks that should not have been there. However, having a better understanding of how to do this, my subsequent lists are expected to be substantially better.
My plan to take things slowly, in smaller groups, has proven to be a good one. Woe unto me had I instead chosen to shoot off 2,000 vs. less than 200 in this first attempt. Had I not done this … I’d be pretty much dead in the water. I plan to continue on this path and gauge the results as I go. Read more about my prep here!
That will do it for today! Thank you again for placing your trust in my services!
