Updates
Nimble has begun to roll out two new features with very limited fanfare. The first was Web Chat. Note that there is a new tab on your left sidebar marked as “Inbound”. Web chats are a part of the optional Nimble feature that includes Web Forms and Web Hooks.
For $12 per month per account, not per user, you can have up to 10 active in any combination. For example, 5 web forms, 2 web chats, and 3 web hooks. Web chats allow you to place a chat window on any page of your website. When someone activates the chat, a bot will appear and you can teach that bot to gather basic information such as names and email addresses.
Once this information has been gathered, it will hand off this inquiry to a live agent … i.e. you or whoever you designate. There are both web and mobile notifications when this occurs. If nobody is available right now, you can carry on this conversation at a later time via email. Finally, there are reports showing you these chats and who they were assigned to.
This feature is available now and, if you have not already activated this package, there is a 30-day free trial. Next we have multiple unsubscribe lists where you can select which types of emails that a person will unsubscribe from when they choose to unsubscribe.
Note that, right now, you make that choice. For example, if this is a product announcement, when they unsubscribe they will do so from this list only. This will be an evolving feature that, later on, will allow the user to choose which lists to unsubscribe from. As for lists themselves, not yet released but watch for the ability to create separate email lists.
The unsubscribe list in Nimble has been renamed the “Do Not Mail” list and bounces are separated from unsubscribes. Unsubscribes will also be tagged based on chosen lists. Bounces can be whitelisted. However, at this time, unsubscribes cannot and I have asked that a change be made to allow this. Mind you, I have no power to initiate changes:)
Here are a few things that are coming up …
I attended a Nimble Partner webinar recently and Nimble’s focus for the fall will be AI. This is planned to include:
- Personalized Sequences with AI generated touchpoints – AI assisted message composition.
- Nimble AI Prospector – Prospector will be getting smarter with the ability to gather contact info, scrape details like job histories, make smart recommendations based on lead intent, and place your leads into tailored outreach campaigns.
Note that I have no further information on these features, I have not seen them, I don’t know when they will be released, and I have no idea if there will be any additional charges to access these. In other words, in the immortal words of Sgt. Shultz on “Hogan’s Heroes” … “I know nothing. I know nothing!”🙂
That will do it for today! Thank you again for placing your trust in my services!
