I just got back from L.A. where I hooked up with my two best friends from elementary through high school. I have been in touch with one, but had not seen him in about 35 years. The other … no contact in 45 years. He had disappeared, but I finally found him. It was great and, when you get to be our age, it’s not like we have a lot of time to get ‘er done:)
Back to Nimble!
I have been sworn to secrecy, so please don’t even ask me, but I spent an hour a couple of weeks ago with three top people at Nimble including the CEO. What is coming down the pike, and some of it fairly quickly, will absolutely blow your mind! Nimble will be truly putting the “R” (Relationships) back in CRM! Nuff said. I will now go into hiding:)
There are also some updates that are currently in progress with Prospector at least for the Chrome extension. In Gmail, there is now an option for delay send and the buttons have received a UI refresh including adding a little gold, likely to increase their value:)
AI Sequences
In my last newsletter I mentioned that Nimble had introduced a feature called AI Context. This is found in your settings and it is where you tell Nimble about yourself, your products, and your target market. Nimble will then use this information to further personalize your outreach messages
Right now, this feature will only be available with AI Sequences and this is even a soft rollout and in beta. However, I did test it and here is what I found …
Probably the most important thing with AI sequences, any AI message, begins with telling Nimble specifically what you would like it to do. If you are already working with AI, you know that clear prompts will greatly generate the best responses. Here is what I told Nimble …
- Who I was trying to reach including the industry and the person’s title(s).
- How many messages that I wanted in the sequence.
- What is my call to action? I would like them to schedule a Zoom consultation.
- Delay time between messages.
- Whether or not you want activities included in the sequence. What activities?
- When someone should be removed from the sequence. In my case, I look for replies.
- What else happens if someone replies? I asked to add them to my consulting workflow.
If you are wanting to do this quite often, I would suggest that you create a document of your instructions, or use a text expander like Text Blaze, so that you can either copy and paste or use a short code as opposed to reinventing the wheel.
I have to say that the results were pretty impressive, but they were inconsistent. Overall, the messages themselves were quite good, the sequence (it builds the entire sequence, not just messages!) was … a bit hit and miss. They sometimes showed up differently in identical tests.
Regardless, you will always want to evaluate the sequence itself, including messages and conditions, and edit those if needed. My best advice is to wait on AI Sequences (sequences themselves are still fine!) and I have reported these bugs to Nimble.
Please keep in mind, and this rule holds true whenever you use any AI platform to generate content or messages … AI makes mistakes and the messages don’t always sound like you! Be prepared for edits. Once they get things completely sorted out … It will be awesome!
That will do it for today! Thank you again for placing your trust in my services!
