Nimble CRM Tips & Updates – July 8, 2026

I am only aware of one new update since our last newsletter. You can now export your email lists and I was just working with a client and came up with an interesting application. Note that, at least at this time, you are only able to export your total list.

The export file includes full name, email address, and email status (read more about these below). Ignore or remove the other columns and change the name heading to “Contact Name” and the status column to “Tag” and be sure to save your changes as a .csv file.

Only map the email address, contact name, and tag during a .csv contact record import and merge to existing records. You have now created and added an email status tag to each of those records. Nice:)

Understanding email list verification categories

I learn like you do … when things come up. If you have activated an email marketing account, you also have access to dedicated email lists. Lists give you the advantage of verifying that emails are valid by using enrichment credits. These should be used when adding new contacts to the list who you have not emailed previously.

Once someone has been emailed, or you have manually verified their email address, their status will be set unless that changes on a subsequent mailing. Their email status will show on the list. “Bounced” is self explanatory. To me, “Risky” and “Unverified” are the same. You are taking a chance.

In my mind, “Deliverable” and “Confident” are the same. Good to go. There is not a category for “Unsubscribed” but, like bounces, these will be prevented from sending based on the unsubscribe category(s). There is also an “Unknown” status. You have not emailed these folks before and this is the group that should be verified!

The “Risky” and the “Unverified” groups are the tricky ones. If you do not wish to take that chance, remove them from that list(s). It is important to note that this affects lists only. If they are also part of a tag and you send them a group message using that tag vs. a list … they will be mailed unless you also mark their records as “Unsubscribed”. Not an accurate description, but serves the purpose.

Email verification is only available if you have the $15 per month email marketing account and by using enrichment credits. If you do not, I would strongly suggest that you verify your email addresses using a service like Verifailia.

That will do it for today! Thank you again for placing your trust in my services!
