Nimble CRM for the Signage Industry
Several years ago I decided to take a run at promoting Nimble CRM for the signage industry. I joined a regional association and … my efforts failed miserably. Over the last couple of years, I was plenty busy enough so signage fell to the wayside.
Now, in 2026, I’m a wee bit smarter (hopefully) and so … let’s go at it again! It starts with positioning. I have close to 50 years of B2B sales and management experience with 15+ years of that in signage as a sales rep, manager, and owner.
I know Nimble inside and out and I also have a proven track record of hiring and training highly successful salespeople, particularly in the signage industry. Since differentiation is everything … why not combine Nimble with sign sales as a combined training package? Winner winner.
When I was in the signage industry, I never saw a CRM that addressed the needs of sign salespeople. If anything was available, it was a micro add-on to estimating, job costing, and accounting. My research has indicated that little, if anything, has changed.
I have already configured Nimble CRM for the unique needs of this industry and, I have to say, it excels in this application. Knowing signage as well as I do, my work was based entirely on my experience.

Additionally, I have created a 90+ page eBook, “Selling Signs – Lessons From the Trenches”, on how to sell signs which I will be integrating into my Nimble CRM training for one unified package. This is my differentiator … CRM and Sales Training conducted by an individual with extensive experience in both.
We start with a get acquainted meeting where I will learn as much as I can about their business, how they do it now, and the challenges that they face. An agenda, with topics for discussion, will be sent to each team member prior to our first session.
There are 10 sessions total, each covering different aspects of Nimble CRM as well as a discussion of sections in my eBook. Homework assignments are given for the end of each session including what to practice on Nimble and what to review in my eBook prior to our next meeting.
My system has already been tested and proven. I was asked to hire and train two new salespeople for a local sign company. Neither had any experience in signage. I also placed both on Nimble CRM and both excelled! I had never seen these kinds of results in all of my years in any industry. Neither had my client and they don’t even have a sales manager!
Now, marketing is not my shtick. I identify 100% as a salesperson, sales manager, and owner. However, through study and osmosis, I have picked up certain skills that I did not have during my first run at this industry. I would also like to think that, for my purposes, I have become very adept at leveraging A.I..
Nimble has also evolved substantially, email marketing features are at my ready, and they have been locked and loaded. Time to go bear hunting. My approach will be entirely different than the path chosen years ago. I’d like to say that I’m feeling good about my direction with this initiative.
Here I am, happily semi-retired and about to turn 73. I don’t need the money and I have plenty of referrals coming in. I’m doing this just to see if I can. Challenges motivate me. Let the games begin!
